Logan City Council, Logan

Project Summary -

PRIDE have been privileged to be involved with this installation and its successful outcome. The project is a state of the art camera safety monitoring centre. The main aim of this system is to fundamentally assist with creating a safer community as well as assist in the reduction and prevention of crime. The completion of this project provides another milestone illustrating the dedication of the Logan City Council in its endeavours to creating a safer city.

The new camera safety monitoring centre combines cameras from multiple locations throughout the Logan district from Woodridge, Kingston, Springwood, Loganlea, Beenleigh, Logan Central and other areas. Logan City council have also partnered with Queensland Rail and have access to over 300 cameras from various Logan Railway stations, this partnership also enhances the safety of Logan commuters.

Cameras are fed into the new Integrated Teleste S-VMX platform in multiple ways some over IP and some via fibre, network switches and encoders.

Once the cameras are integrated into the system there are six operator stations connection via remote KVM extenders, transmitters and receivers and the desired cameras can be selected as required and placed up onto the video wall.

Logan City Council has a ten year plan in place for their safe city program, and the new monitoring centre has a pivotal roll in the long term plan. The S-VMX platform has been designed with the expandability to grow with the programs requirements to serve well in to the 2020’s and beyond. Teleste’s continual development of the S-VMX platform will ensure that this state of the art facility stays at the cutting edge of technology.

Toowoomba Watchhouse, Toowoomba

Project Summary -

This project was an existing watchhouse which required a staged installation process to ensure that new and old systems cut over whilst maintaining the sites operation functionality. The scope of works included upgrading the existing ARES platform to Forcefield, integrating the existing Pelco CCTV headend into the Forcefield platform; upgrading the CCTV headend to Teleste; upgrading the cameras and cabling to an IP solution; integration of existing intercoms; and Ascom duress alarm system.

Queensland Rail

Project Summary -

Since 2007 PRIDE has been qualified to sit on a panel of preferred suppliers for Queensland Rail CCTV projects for new installations and upgrade works. PRIDE was successful again in 2011 being awarded with the new contract for electronic security and CCTV.

Installation works have comprised of projects from minor scale works of one or two cameras to larger sites containing several hundred cameras, all with varying levels of complexity.

Rockhampton Riverside Development, Rockhampton

Project Summary -

PRIDE was the principal contractor to install the riverside development CCTV cameras and provide a new IP CCTV solution.

This project utilised a Pelco Endura IP based platform which included the installation of a fibre optic infrastructure through the streets utilising some components of the existing fibre backbone.

The project included two viewing platforms, one located in a Council control room and the other platform being at Queensland Police in Rockhampton.

Emergency Call Centre, Carnaby Street Maroochydore

Project Summary -

A joint venture with the Queensland Police and Transport & Main Roads. The project consisted of an electronic package with systems integrated over dual tenancies. The installation included installation of a Siemon structured cabling system, termination and testing; audio visual requirements to suit training and conference room applications; installation of a Cardax system for intrusion and access control function of the building; installation of integrated Teleste system to incorporate CCTV, MATV and multiple user or operator locations and set up of virtual LANs to segregate platforms connecting various parts of the building to different systems.

Verde Apartments, Mackay

Project Summary -

The Verde Apartments project was a new multi storey office project comprising of an office tower and a multi storey car park. The office building comprised of five levels (plus ground) and has a total NLA of 7000sqm. The multi-story car park contains 170 car spaces. The Queensland Government will consolidate a number of various departments and become the major tenant for the project occupying all floors.

Security was a major factor of this project. The system was comprised of an Inner Range Integriti access control and security system. The whole building is governed by swipe card access. Over 100 card readers are installed throughout the base building and tenancy levels restricting access to relevant floors and areas. Each tenancy has its own Integriti security system allowing for future integration with the base build system making one complete security system that can talk to each other

Along with access Control, the Verint Nextiva IP based CCTV system offers network viewing, and investigation management to help security staff rapidly detect, act and investigate security breaches and other threats. Some 37 IP cameras are located in key areas around the building monitoring areas including car park, lifts, corridors and lobbys.

Mt Gravatt TAFE B Block Training Facility, Brisbane

Project Summary -

This project was the installation of audio visual and electronic security to the facility which was designed to provide training to students looking toward career pathways in the filmmaking and broadcast industry.

The Audio Visual component comprised of the installation of broadcast production cameras and associated digital storage and editing control room; Vicon motion capture camera system (animation); full audio processing system complete with sound desk, audio affects processors and equalisers, full production integrated talk back intercommunication system; integrated AMX matrix control system for routing different audio and visual sources to various locations throughout the facility; and stage lighting consisting of lighting bars, Jands lighting control desks, Jands dimming racks with approximately two hundred assorted fittings, lamps and gobos for various lighting affects.

Security works included the provision of intrusion and access control connected to a Tecom Challenger system as well as the provision of CCTV cameras.
